Yellow Buckeye has clusters of single yellow flowers followed by smooth-skinned buckeye fruit. Green compound leaves emerge in the spring, each with seven spreading oblong leaflets. This species exhibits a showy fall colour, and has a bloom time of mid-spring.

Suitable for a wide variety of soils, but grows best in well-draining soil. Good drought tolerance. Thrives in partial to full sun locations.
