Also known as tall anemone, this Thimbleweed has long-blooming, off-white flowers that add a touch of elegance to any garden. Its thimble-like seed heads (hence the name) provide excellent post-bloom textures, contributing to its multi-season appeal.
Native to Ontario and most of the southern half of Canada.
Thimbleweed grows in dry to moderately moist soils, in partial shade or full sun. It prefers acidic to neutral soils and has best growth where there is plenty of organic matter in soil. Once established, this plant is quite drought and cold tolerant.
