Roses require at least 6 hours of full sun a day, ideally in the morning hours. They prefer nutrient-rich, well-draining soil and moderate amounts of water. When watering, do not wet the plant’s leaves, blooms or stem, instead water directly into the soil surrounding the rose’s roots.
Preferably, prune your rose in the early spring. When pruning, open up spaces in the center to let light and air circulate through the plant. Occasionally check your rose for mildew or signs of disease and treat as needed.
