Small, inconspicuous green flowers give way to berries in June, which split open in fall to reveal bright orange seeds. Glossy, medium green foliage holds its colour through autumn. Naturally forming a spreading mound, this plant will also climb if given support.
Euonymus can tolerate a range of soils and conditions, but have no tolerance for standing water. Young plants can benefit from protection (burlap wrap) against drying winter winds in an exposed location.
