This annual grass forms a clump of burgundy leaves that arch gracefully from the base. Above the foliage, bushy, bottlebrush-like flower spikes in shades of pink and purple gradually age to tan. Blooming from late summer to early fall, this plant adds striking color and texture to your garden.
Best grown in a moist, well-drained soil in full sun. This grass is not hardy to our region, but a welcome addition to the summer garden or in a patio planter. Sometimes they can be kept alive indoors through the winter.
