Native to French Polynesia, The “Marble Queen” is a highly variegated pothos, with leaves that are primarily cream coloured with splashes of green. With this hanging basket version, you can brighten your home with cascading vines of cream and emerald green.

About Epipremnum aureum: Commonly known as Pothos, Epipremnum aureum are native to French Polynesia, where they thrived in a subtropical climate. They are an excellent plant for beginners.  They have long, trailing stems, with heart-shaped leaves, and can be trained to grow in any direction! The great thing about pothos is that they grow quickly and are easy to propagate.

How to care for your Pothos

Difficulty: Very easy

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Will tolerate low light.

Humidity: Prefers high humidity, but will tolerate lower humidity levels.

Watering: Water when soil is mostly dry, every 7-10 days.

Pothos improve the environment in your home or office by:

  • purifying the air. Similar to snake plants, Pothos are able to remove indoor pollutants such as formaldehyde, trichloroethene, and toluene.
  • creating good Feng Shui. Pothos plants release positive energy, and are especially effective when placed near sources of radiation, like wifi routers.

Other Names for Pothos:  golden pothos, Ceylon creeper, hunter's robe, ivy arum, money plant, silver vine, Solomon Islands ivy

How to care for your

Epipremnum aureum

About care instructions

Plant care can vary depending on placement, light and exact environment. You can always request plant care help here.

Water: 1-2 weeks

Let the soil dry out 50-70% between watering. You can either stick a chopstick or your finger in to make sure the top at least 2 inches of soil are dry or lift the pot to see if it feels a bit light. Water thoroughly and make sure to pot in well-draining soil with drainage holes. Depending on the season and light, you will need to water the plant every 1-2 weeks.

Sun: shaded light

This plant requires medium light. It can tolerate low light, but it wants to see a bit of sun every day. Placing it in a north-facing or east-facing window would be ideal. While it will survive your dark corners, it won't thrive in them. In the summer, you can place them outside in a shady area.

Humidity: medium

This plant requires moderate humidity. Most households should be fine. Around 20-40% humidity works. It will be happy with more as well.
