Delicate, bright green fronds with striking black-purple stems give this fern a refined, airy appearance. Spreading gradually by shallow rhizomes, it forms a dense, elegant ground cover over time. Though slower to establish—typically reaching full size in 2 to 3 years—its finely textured foliage adds unique interest both in the garden and in floral arrangements.
