Matrona Stonecrop features round deep gray-green leaves tinged with purple. It produces clusters of soft pink star-shaped flowers on sturdy stems, which deepen to a rich pink in cooler weather. The flowers dry on the stems, adding visual interest and appeal throughout the winter. This plant blooms from late summer to late fall.
Thrives in full to partial sun. Taller hybrids require full sun to achieve their best flowering, while creeping varieties can grow well in partial shade. Sedums prefer very well-drained soil with a neutral to slightly alkaline pH.
