Hellebore, also known as the Lenten Rose, are early bloomers that signal the arrival of spring. They're named for the rose-esque flowers blooming from late winter and lasting six weeks, often coinciding with celebrations of Lent. This variety features Ivory flowers that develop pink, green and rose hues and deepen with age. The evergreen blue-green hued foliage adds year-round interest.
Thrives in an average to moist, well-drained soil, in partial to full shade. At flowering time, they require consistent moisture but are generally drought tolerant during the non-flowering season. They do not like to be moved once established. Remove damaged leaves in late winter (or before the buds appear), to encourage new growth. Disease resistant.
