Also known as Pearlwort or Arenaria verna (Scottish Moss), Sagina subulata is a low-growing, evergreen perennial that forms a dense, compact mat of emerald-green foliage. Its thin, creeping stems create a lush, ground-hugging carpet, and tiny five-petaled white flowers bloom in Summertime.
Grows best in an average to moist, well-drained soil, in full sun with dappled shade in the afternoon. Tolerant of poor soils as long as there is adequate drainage. Dislikes hot, dry conditions and requires very little maintenance.
