Also known as Prairie Coneflower or Drooping Coneflower, this plant is an upright, thick-stemmed perennial with a well-branched structure. It features toothed, bluish-green, lance-shaped leaves and daisy-like yellow flowers with central cone-shaped red-brown florets atop tall stems. This very durable perennial is highly adaptable to both drought and heat, making it an excellent choice for resilient landscaping.
Native to Ontario.
Grows best in an average to moist, well-drained soil, in full sun, however, it will tolerate a poor, dry location. A very adaptable native perennial. May require staking.
