Cara Turkish Olive Oil Jar | 22 x 13 inches

The Cara is an antique Turkish jar with a tall, tapered form and a thick rolled lip. Made a century ago to store olive oil, wine and water, this jar wears its history on the surface: warm terracotta, traces of old lime wash, and the marks of long use.

A striking sculptural planter, or a vessel for dried branches and tall stems. The base tapers narrow, so it sits best on a stable, level spot.

Due to the natural terracotta material and age, some porosity is to be expected. Not recommended for outdoor use over winter.
