Plants that are available for pre-order are either:

1. Really popular so we make sure to always offer them for sale because we can get them in easily

2. Are only available seasonally so we try to help as many customers as possible get the plant they are looking for when it is available

3. Are available to us at a discounted price point that we want to pass on to consumers.

Calamansi, also known as calamondin, Philippine lime, or Philippine lemon, is an economically important citrus hybrid predominantly cultivated in the Philippines. It is native to the Philippines, Borneo, and Sulawesi in Indonesia in Southeast Asia, as well as southern China and Taiwan in East Asia.

Calamansi is one of those ingredients that makes Filipino and Malaysian dishes taste truly authentic. It tastes like a sour orange or a slightly sweeter lime, and it has a fragrance to match.

How to care for your

Citrofortunella microcarpa

About care instructions

Plant care can vary depending on placement, light and exact environment. You can always request plant care help here.

Water: 3-5 days

Keep the plant generally moist. Water as soon as the top layer of soil dries out. This plant prefers to stay hydrated regularly. Plant in a soil that retains a bit more water, but you should always ensure it isn't sitting in water or in a pot that doesn't drain properly. Depending on the season and light, you will need to water the plant every 3-5 days.

Sun: bright light

This plant needs at least a few hours of direct sun every day. Perfect for a space that faces a south-facing window or directly in your east and west-facing windows. Anything less, and you should consider getting a grow light. It can be placed outside in the summer, where it gets at least a few hours of direct sun a day.

Humidity: medium

This plant requires moderate humidity. Most households should be fine. Around 20-40% humidity works. It will be happy with more as well.
