Add a splash of red to your garden with 'Va Va Violet' Caladiums! These tropical beauties love the sun, so they're perfect for making a statement in your home or patio space.
Caring for Caladium plants involves providing them with the right growing conditions and regular maintenance. Caladiums thrive in warm, humid environments and prefer bright, indirect light or partial shade. Direct sunlight can scorch their delicate foliage. Plant them in well-draining soil that retains moisture but doesn't become waterlogged. Keep the soil consistently moist, but avoid overwatering, as it can lead to root rot. Mist the leaves regularly or place the plant near a humidifier to provide the high humidity they require. Fertilize the plant every 4-6 weeks during the growing season with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer. Remove any yellow or damaged leaves to maintain a neat appearance. In cooler climates, caladiums can be grown as houseplants or dug up and stored indoors during the winter. With proper care, your caladiums will display their vibrant and ornamental heart-shaped leaves, adding a splash of color and tropical flair to your indoor or outdoor space.

About care instructions
Plant care can vary depending on placement, light and exact environment. You can always request plant care help here.
Water: 3-5 days
Keep the plant generally moist. Water as soon as the top layer of soil dries out. This plant prefers to stay hydrated regularly. Plant in a soil that retains a bit more water, but you should always ensure it isn't sitting in water or in a pot that doesn't drain properly. Depending on the season and light, you will need to water the plant every 3-5 days.
Sun:
This plant needs at least a few hours of direct sun every day. Perfect for a space that faces a south-facing window or directly in your east and west-facing windows. Anything less, and you should consider getting a grow light. It can be placed outside in the summer, where it gets at least a few hours of direct sun a day.
Humidity: high
This plant likes high humidity. Try to keep a minimum of 50%. Having it close to your humidifier or essential oil diffuser would be amazing.
