Rudbeckia triloba, or brown-eyed Susan, is a weedy, clump-forming plant native to North America. It grows well in various soils and tolerates heat and some drought. The plant produces daisy-like flowers with yellow rays and brown-purple centers from summer to fall. It self-seeds and can naturalize. It is commonly used in naturalized areas, meadows, gardens, and borders. No major pest or disease issues, but watch out for powdery mildew, slugs, and snails.
