Blue Ice Bog blooms clusters of drooping pink urn-shaped flowers in early spring. Ice-blue needle-like foliage keeps its colour all year, and it is slow-growing with a low spreading growth pattern.

Andromeda requires constant moisture but not standing water, and a fertile soil with a low pH. 'Blue Ice' bog rosemary is cultivated from a plant native to much of northern Canada.
