Alocasia: "Purple Shield" Elephant Ear in 10" Nursery Pot

Note: Plants and pots sold separately, unless stated otherwise.

The African Mask, aka Elephant Ear, is distinguished by dark green leaves with white or light green veins.

It is a little bit more demanding than other plants and will react poorly if you don't give it enough humidity or put it in too much direct sun.

Light: Part sun part shade, too much will lead to the leaves burning.

Water: When the top layer is dry, do not let it dry out completely between waterings. That means approximately every 10 days in the winter and potentially as often as every 5 days in the summer.

Humidity: This plant needs high humidity, it will be very unhappy if your home isn't humid or if you put it in front of a vent.
