Alocasia x amazonia: “Polly” Elephant Ear in 6” Nursery Pot
The African Mask, aka Elephant Ear, is distinguished by dark green leaves with white or light green veins. This unique alocasia "Polly" is known for its stunning foliage and is native to Southeast Asia and Australia.
It is a little bit more demanding than other plants and will react poorly if you don't give it enough humidity or put it in too much direct sun.
Light: Part sun part shade, too much will lead to the leaves burning.
Water: When the top layer is dry, do not let it dry out completely between waterings. That means approximately every 10 days in the winter and potentially as often as every 5 days in the summer.
Humidity: This plant needs high humidity, it will be very unhappy if your home isn't humid or if you put it in front of a vent.
