Also known as yaka swida sericea 'Flaviramea', this shrub is prized for its bright yellow branches that stand out in the winter landscape. In spring, it produces flat-topped clusters of white flowers, followed by white berries in early fall. Light green summer foliage transitions to rich purple tones in late fall. Thrives in moist or wet soils. Blooms in spring.
Vigorous growing shrub tolerating many soil and light conditions. Very fibrous root system aids in control of soil erosion. Since young stems are the most colourful, pruning stems three or more years old to the ground will provide good winter colour.
