Thymus serpyllum 'Alba' is fast spreading with dense green foliage and masses of tiny white flowers blooming in late spring and summer. Great for adding contrast to other plants in containers or as a groundcover.
Thyme prefers well-draining soil with a pH between 6.0 and 8.0. Plant them in a sunny location with at least six hours of direct sunlight per day. Water the plants deeply but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings to prevent overwatering and root rot. Thyme is drought-tolerant and does well in slightly dry conditions. Trim the plants regularly to maintain their shape and promote bushier growth. Harvest the leaves as needed, taking care not to remove more than one-third of the plant at a time. Thyme is generally resistant to pests and diseases but keep an eye out for any signs of trouble.
