This compact variety of Coneflower offers a vibrant burst of colour with a mix of yellow, red, orange, purple, and pink blooms. Creates a lively display from midsummer through early fall.
Echinacea plants thrive in full sun and well-draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Water the plants deeply during the early stages of growth to establish their root system, and then reduce watering once they are established as they are drought-tolerant. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings to prevent overwatering and root rot. Deadhead spent flowers to promote continuous blooming and prevent self-seeding, or leave the flower heads intact to attract birds and provide winter interest. Cut the plants back to the ground in late winter or early spring to encourage fresh growth. Echinacea is generally resistant to pests and diseases but monitor for any signs of trouble. Direct sun exposure helps develop proper flower pigmentation. Pay special attention to plant depth: crown must be at or slightly above soil level.
