Collection: Plants: Chinese Evergreens

Aglaonema have historically been grown as lucky ornamental plants in Asia for many centuries. They were introduced to the West in 1885 when they were brought the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew. Over the last century, growers have cross bread them into a wide variety of colours and styles. Perhaps most importantly, they've adapted them to lower light conditions making them excellent houseplants.

While they are tolerant of lower light and can handle a bit of drought, they are intolerant of cold. So keep them away from your windows.
